Design writing contains different kinds of statements. A preference for a warmer colour is a judgement; a claim about a material’s performance, a project budget or a regulation needs supporting evidence.
Start with the original source
Our standard is to use the original document where possible: a technical specification, official requirement, published study or directly supplied project information. The source should support the specific wording, place and period of the claim. A link to an organisation’s homepage is not enough to substantiate a precise statistic.
Keep the limits visible
A single project’s cost is not a market average. Guidance from another jurisdiction is not automatically applicable in Saudi Arabia. Estimates and examples should be identified as such, and unsupported precision should be removed.
